We are a radio tower company looking for reliable, experienced climbers to join us on an as-needed basis. Jobs typically last 1-2+ days at a time and come up periodically throughout the year. This is a great opportunity for someone who already has another flexible job and wants to pick up high-paying work when it fits their schedule. What the Work Looks Like Climb radio towers to perform basic maintenance and light installation tasks (turning wrenches, tightening hardware, simple adjustments, etc.). Work under clear direction from the ground team or a lead climber. Short-duration projects (usually 1 or 2 days per job). We only schedule you when you're free and will coordinate projects in advance, typically with 1-2 week notice. The company provides all tools and any additional fall protection equipment required for the job. Ideal Candidate We're looking for someone who: Has rock climbing or tower climbing experience (this is required — we need people who are already comfortable and confident working at height). Is in excellent physical condition and good overall health. Can reliably follow directions and work safely even when receiving instructions from the ground or a second climber. Is dependable and flexible — you can let us know when you're available and commit to the job once scheduled. Takes safety seriously and works well as part of a small team. Requirements Prior rock climbing or tower climbing experience (required) Industrial-grade full-body climbing harness with dorsal D-ring required for tower work. Candidates who already own their own properly rated harness are preferred. We will provide a company-issued harness to otherwise strong candidates. Any company-issued harness remains company property. Company provides industrial hard hat with chin strap. Personal hard hats are acceptable only if they meet ANSI standards and include a secure chin strap. Rock climbing helmets are not suitable. Strong physical fitness and comfort working at heights Appropriate work boots and gloves Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Ability to pass a background check and drug screening Must be able to commit to scheduled 1-2 day jobs once confirmed This role is not full-time and is not steady weekly work. It's best suited for experienced climbers who want occasional, well-paying days without a rigid schedule. Compensation & Perks $36 - $40+ per hour (depending on experience and project) Paid for all hours worked on site Short, defined projects — no long-term commitment required Clear communication and support from the ground team If you're an experienced climber looking for flexible, high-paying part-time work that lets you use your skills without a fixed schedule, we'd like to hear from you.
