Job Description
Job Summary Principal/Essential Duties & Responsibilities Setting up and maintaining traffic control devices such as cones, signs, barricades, and flagging materials to redirect traffic. Directing traffic using hand signals, flags, or other approved methods to ensure the safe passage of vehicles and pedestrians. Monitoring traffic flow and adjusting traffic control measures as necessary to maintain a smooth and safe traffic pattern. Providing clear and concise instructions to drivers to navigate through the work zone and avoid potential hazards. Communicating with construction crews, law enforcement, and other personnel to coordinate traffic control efforts and ensure everyone's safety. Provide ongoing safety, productivity, and professional growth training. Reporting any traffic incidents, accidents, or unsafe conditions to appropriate authorities or supervisors. Assisting with the maintenance and repair of traffic control devices when needed. Following all applicable safety regulations and guidelines to minimize the risk of accidents or injuries. Maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with the public, answering questions, and addressing concerns. Attending training sessions and staying up-to-date with the latest traffic control techniques and regulations. Report on daily base to the Forman with all the paperwork required (trucks number, time in and out, check list ….)
