Job Description

Local railroad company currently seeking a trainman to join their team. Full time, temp-hire opportunity! This role requires general labor background and experience with heavy equipment operation and/or mechanical knowledge. Responsibilities Candidate would be working on the tracks and rails, lots of outdoor manual labor. Operating railroad machines, back hoes and skid steers. Communicate effectively with crew members and dispatchers regarding train movements and any issues that arise. Manage loading and unloading operations at various stops, ensuring cargo is handled safely. Experience operating heavy equipment is highly desirable. Familiarity with air brake systems is a plus. A military background may be beneficial due to the emphasis on discipline and adherence to protocols.
