Job Description

The City of St. Charles, MN, is accepting applications for the position of fulltime Electric Lineworker. Salary ranges from $76,710 - $85,217, depending on qualifications and experience, plus excellent benefits.
Including:
 Health Savings Account (HSA) is fully funded by the City  Generous health insurance coverage, with the City paying 100% of the employees' premium and 50% of dependent coverage premiums  Public employee pension/retirement benefits through PERA  Paid vacation and sick leave  Paid holidays  Life insurance  Overtime and on-call compensation  Stable, year-round municipal employment The Position The Journeyman Lineworker plays an important role in keeping St. Charles powered and providing reliable electric service to our residents and businesses. Primary responsibilities include maintaining, repairing, and installing the City's electric distribution and transmission systems; working with both overhead and underground electrical systems; responding to outages; and helping ensure safe and reliable electric service throughout the community. This position provides an opportunity to work on a municipal electric system where employees can take pride in knowing the community, the customers, and the infrastructure they serve.
Qualifications Applicants must:
 Be a certified Journeyman Lineworker and provide appropriate certification/documentation.  Possess a valid Class A CDL or obtain one within six months of employment.  Be within a 30-minute response time when on-call.  Meet the additional qualifications contained in the City's position description.
