Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Cable Lineman to join our team and play a vital role in the installation, maintenance, and repair of telecommunications infrastructure. As a Cable Lineman, you will be responsible for working outdoors in various environments to ensure the reliable delivery of voice, data, and fiber optic and Coax services. Your expertise will help build and sustain robust network systems, supporting both residential and commercial clients. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology while contributing to essential communication services. Responsibilities Install, maintain, and repair telecommunications cables, including fiber optic systems, ensuring optimal performance across outdoor networks. Operate heavy equipment such as bucket trucks, cranes, and power tools safely and efficiently in accordance with safety standards. BAU Construction Pole transfers Coax splicing Overlash/lash/delash New aerial Power supply Skills Proven experience in field service roles involving telecommunications cable installation and maintenance. Proficiency with heavy equipment operation including bucket trucks, power tools, and hand tools used in outdoor work settings. Strong knowledge of fiber optic cables, fiber splicing techniques, and fiber optic systems installation processes. Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and engineering troubleshooting documentation accurately. Familiarity with telecommunications testing equipment for diagnosing network issues effectively. Experience with telecommunications outside plant operations including cabling, splicing, testing, and troubleshooting fiber optic networks. Knowledge of the National Electrical Safety Code (NESC) standards relevant to outdoor electrical work. Skilled in climbing poles or towers safely while maintaining balance and adherence to safety protocols. Technical proficiency in computer networking concepts such as LAN (Local Area Network), WAN (Wide Area Network), Ethernet connections, and telephony systems. Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex telecommunication issues using diagnostic tools and technical support techniques.
