Role Description This is a full-time remote Lineman role responsible for supporting electrical and power line operations in the oil field. The Lineman will perform day-to-day tasks such as constructing, installing, maintaining, and repairing overhead and underground power lines and related equipment. Responsibilities include working on power distribution systems, assisting with substation work, operating heavy equipment as needed, and ensuring adherence to all safety protocols and regulatory requirements. The role involves coordinating with field teams, documenting work performed, and responding to service calls to minimize downtime for clients. The Lineman will also participate in regular safety trainings and may travel to various remote sites within Texas and New Mexico as required. Qualifications Strong knowledge of electricity and power distribution systems, including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Experience working with substations, including equipment inspection, testing, and basic substation operations. Ability to operate and work around heavy equipment safely and efficiently in field environments. Valid CDL Class A license or the ability to obtain one within a defined timeframe. Familiarity with industry safety standards and certifications related to electrical and power line work (e.g., Arc Flash, power line hot work) preferred. Proven experience as a lineman, lineworker, or similar role in utility, industrial, or oil field settings. Ability to work in remote field locations, perform physically demanding tasks, and handle varying weather and terrain conditions. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and commitment to safe work practices. Effective communication and teamwork skills for collaborating with supervisors, engineers, and field crews. High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in electrical or power line work is a plus.
