We are looking for a local Wind Technician in Cimarron, Kansas. This is a local position, so no relocation assistance will be offered to non-local candidates. Although previous wind turbine maintenance experience is preferred, this opportunity is also available to mechanically and electrically inclined candidates with transferable skills looking to join the wind industry. This position will begin August 2026. Position Summary Perform preventative maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on wind turbines Follow all company safety protocols and procedures, using appropriate PPE Use all equipment and tools in a safe and responsible manner Participate in ongoing training and education as needed Requirements High School diploma or GED AAS degree or certification in Wind/Renewable Energy or a related field Hands-on experience with Vestas V82 and V90 turbines GWO safety certification preferred Flexibility and willingness to travel for extended periods Ability and willingness to work at heights Valid driver's license Must pass a background check and drug test prior to start date What We're Looking For Professional, positive attitude with a willingness to learn Career-minded individuals seeking long-term opportunity and growth Working Conditions Travel for training Exposure to mechanical, electrical, and other hazards Exposure to noisy, dusty conditions, and chemicals or solvents Operation of equipment including forklifts and commercial motor vehicles Daily climbing and work on turbine towers up to 300 ft. Ability to lift 75 lbs. individually Regular walking and climbing of stairs, ladders, and/or scaffolds Work in all-weather outdoor conditions (extreme heat, cold, wind, rain, snow)

Safe Working Weight Requirement:

This role has a 265 lb. weight restriction as an essential function of the job, based on the maximum load rating of required safety and lifting equipment (e.g., harnesses, lifts). This ensures all weight-rated equipment is used safely and within manufacturer specifications.
