Wind Turbine Operations & Maintenance Instructor — Universal Technical Institute By 8:00 a.m., you've checked the lockout/tagout kit, powered up the training panels, and laid out torque tools for a lab on drivetrain inspection. An hour later, students are tracing fault codes and practicing safe climbs, and you're guiding them from theory to real-world decision making. That's a typical day when you turn your field experience into future-ready skills for the next generation of wind technicians. What you'll do Lead immersive, hands-on labs that cover inspection, diagnostics, maintenance, and repair of wind turbine systems and components. Build an engaging, inclusive classroom where every learner feels supported and challenged. Collaborate with the education team to refine and refresh curriculum to reflect current industry standards and emerging technologies. Coach, mentor, and advise students on projects and practical assessments, promoting critical thinking and problem solving. Model an uncompromising commitment to safety; teach and enforce procedures and best practices at all times. What you bring High school diploma. 3-5 years of experience as a wind turbine technician; GWO certification highly preferred; electrical experience preferred. Clear, confident communication and strong interpersonal skills. Patience, empathy, and the ability to meet learners where they are. No teaching background? We'll train you. We provide paid instructor training so you can transition your field expertise into the classroom and lab with confidence. Schedule and compensation $32-$37 per hour Weekends off Stable work schedule with no travel
