We are looking for someone who can read shop drawings and schematics, understand the design intent and independently build the finished product accurately to specification. What we're looking for: Advanced hands-on cabinetmaking and furniture-building experience Strong knowledge of cabinet construction and architectural millwork Experience working with hardwoods, plywood, MDF, laminates and veneers Proficiency with table saws, routers, miter saws, sanders and standard shop equipment Ability to read and work from shop drawings, schematics and specifications Ability to lay out, fabricate, assemble and troubleshoot custom projects independently Strong attention to detail, accuracy and finish quality Pride in your craftsmanship and respect for the work leaving the shop Experience with finishing, staining, laminating, veneering and specialty furniture construction is highly valued. Although high-end cabinetry and millwork are the foundation of this position, you may occasionally have the opportunity to help create signage, sculptural pieces, illuminated features, live-edge furniture, wall art, water features and other one-of-a-kind installations. Some projects are traditional. Others require us to invent a solution that has never been built before. The work changes regularly, so this is an excellent environment for an accomplished craftsperson who enjoys variety, creative challenges and continuing to expand their abilities. This position is best suited for an experienced cabinetmaker who can contribute immediately and work independently. It is not an entry-level or training position. If you are proud of what you build and this sounds like the kind of shop where you would be excited to work, we would like to hear from you. Please apply with a résumé and photographs or examples of your previous cabinetry, furniture, millwork or fabrication projects. If you have additional skills or experience beyond those listed, please tell us about them.
