The ideal candidate will have a strong background in woodworking, carpentry, and construction, with the ability to interpret technical drawings and construction plans. This role involves crafting custom cabinets and furniture, ensuring precise measurements, quality craftsmanship, and adherence to safety standards. The position offers an opportunity to work on residential projects and restoration industry tasks, contributing to high-quality finishes and client satisfaction. Duties Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and construction plans to produce custom cabinetry and woodwork. Measure, cut, assemble, and install cabinets, fixtures, and related wood components using hand tools and power tools for woodworking. Operate woodworking machines safely to shape and finish wood materials according to specifications. Perform heavy lifting of materials and components as needed for installation or fabrication processes. Execute various carpentry tasks including door hanging, siding installation, trim carpentry, framing, and remodeling projects. Assist with restoration projects such as water damage restoration, mold remediation, stucco application, or rebar installation when required. Ensure all work complies with safety standards including power tool safety protocols. Maintain a clean and organized work environment; adhere to project timelines and quality standards. Collaborate with team members on construction site activities including assembly, fixture installation, caulking, siding work, tile laying, plastering, and other related tasks. Skills Proficiency in reading blueprints and interpreting technical drawings for precise fabrication. Strong knowledge of woodworking tools including hand tools, power tools for woodworking, woodworking machines, and safety procedures. Experience in residential carpentry, trim carpentry, frame carpentry, and general construction site work. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during fabrication or installation processes. Familiarity with construction estimating is a plus for understanding project scope and material requirements. Knowledge of the restoration industry including water damage restoration or mold remediation is advantageous. Skilled in fixture installation, door hanging, siding application, tile laying, plastering, caulking, stucco work, rebar installation, and other related tasks. Strong attention to detail with excellent craftsmanship skills in woodworking materials such as wood construction materials. Ability to interpret construction plans accurately while working independently or as part of a team.
