This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with strong Cabinet Vision experience who can interpret architectural plans, create accurate drawings, manage multiple projects, and work closely with architects, designers, and the production team. Cabinet Vision Experience:
3+ years of proficiency and hands-on experience using Cabinet Vision for millwork drawings.
Drafting Skills:
Ability to create accurate and complete detailed drawings using Cabinet Vision.
Construction Knowledge:
Ability to read and interpret architectural plans, specifications, construction drawings, and blueprints.
Millwork Knowledge:
Understanding of product assemblies, woodworking methods, and installation processes.
Field Measuring:
Experience with field measuring procedures and the ability to accurately incorporate measurements into drawings.
Communication:
Strong written, verbal, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
Problem Solving:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues and recommend effective solutions.
Organization:
Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects, revisions, deadlines, and changing priorities.
Production Knowledge:
Knowledge of various woodworking machinery, including CNC equipment, is a plus.
Professionalism:
Ability to maintain a professional appearance and conduct while interacting with coworkers, supervisors, architects, designers, customers, and other business associates. What the Job Looks Like (What You'll Do)
Drafting & Design:
Prepare accurate and complete drawings, diagrams, and details for assigned millwork and cabinetry projects using Cabinet Vision.
Plan Interpretation:
Review and interpret architectural plans, specifications, construction drawings, and blueprints to develop accurate project drawings.
Project Revisions:
Maintain organized project records and ensure drawings are updated accurately as revisions are made.
Cabinet Vision:
Create detailed drawings and functional reports in Cabinet Vision to support project requirements and production.
Field Measurements:
Review and incorporate field measurements into project drawings to ensure accuracy.
Workflow Management:
Schedule and organize workflow to ensure drawings and projects remain on schedule.
Production Support:
Work closely with the production team to prepare and troubleshoot jobs and improve order efficiencies as needed.
Project Coordination:
Communicate and collaborate with architects, designers, contractors, and other business associates throughout the project.
Technical Support:
Provide clarification and drafting support to help resolve production and installation issues.
Project Management:
Manage multiple ongoing projects while maintaining accuracy, quality, and attention to detail.
Quality & Deadlines:
Help ensure projects are completed accurately, on time, and in a cost-effective manner.
Safety & Compliance:
Conduct all business in accordance with company policies, procedures, and OSHA guidelines.
Problem Solving:
Analyze project and production issues and recommend appropriate solutions.
Team Support:
Provide additional assistance and perform other related duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions Attendance:
Punctual and regular attendance is an essential function of the position.
Work Schedule :
Ability to work a minimum of 40 hours per week. Overtime and weekends may be required as circumstances warrant to meet project deadlines.
Work Environment:
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.
Computer Work :
Frequent need to view computer screens and work with small details. Approximately 95% of the workday is spent sitting at a desk and 5% on your feet.
Mobility:
Ability to stand and walk or sit alternatively depending on the specific needs of the day.
Physical Activity:
Occasional bending, stooping, squatting, climbing stairs and ladders, and reaching above the shoulder.
Equipment:
Ability to grasp, grip, and turn tools and equipment as needed.
Lifting:
Ability to lift 25-50 lbs. Items weighing more than 50 lbs. should be lifted with assistance from one or more persons.
Push/Pull:
Ability to push or pull up to 75 lbs.
