Job Description

Job Overview The primary responsibility of the Custom Builder at Mobile Healthcare Innovations (MHI) is to work closely with the Project Manager and Assistant Project Manager to support the construction, assembly, and completion of custom mobile healthcare units and related projects. This role requires a strong commitment to quality workmanship, attention to detail, safety, and meeting production timelines. The Custom Builder position combines a variety of skilled trades and hands-on responsibilities, including carpentry, welding, electrical work, plumbing, mechanical assembly, and general production labor. Responsibilities Interpret construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to accurately execute custom building projects. Measure, cut, assemble, and install various wood and construction materials using hand tools and power tools for woodworking. Perform framing, trim carpentry, door hanging, fixture installation, and tile laying with precision. Manage heavy lifting tasks safely while maintaining compliance with power tool safety standards. Conduct restoration work including water damage remediation, mold remediation, plastering, stucco application, and rebar installation when needed. Assist in remodeling projects by executing demolition, framing, finishing work, and material handling efficiently. Ensure all work aligns with construction plans while adhering to safety protocols and quality standards. Skills Strong knowledge of construction estimating and interpreting technical drawings. Proficiency in blueprint reading and understanding construction plans. Skilled in using hand tools, power tools for woodworking, woodworking machines, and heavy-duty equipment. Extensive experience in residential carpentry including framing, trim carpentry, door hanging, fixture installation, and tile laying. Ability to perform plastering, stucco application, caulking, water damage restoration, mold remediation and rebar installation. Familiarity with wood construction materials such as framing lumber, plywood, drywall, and finishing materials. Knowledge of power tool safety practices along with experience operating woodworking machines safely. Experience working on construction sites with a focus on remodeling or restoration industry projects. Ability to interpret technical drawings accurately for precise project execution. Physical capability for heavy lifting and performing demanding tasks on-site while maintaining safety standards. Handyman experience including assembly work and general repair skills is a plus. Pay:
$23.00 - $27.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 - 50.0 per week
