Computer skills Position Summary The Processing Operator is responsible for manufacturing liquid pediatric and medical nutritional products. This position involves weighing, staging, and handling raw ingredients, operating computer-controlled manufacturing equipment, and accurately documenting production activities. The Processing Operator must follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) , regulatory requirements, work orders, and established procedures. Operators may perform a variety of processing functions, including A, B, or C processing duties. Key Responsibilities Operate, monitor, and document computer-controlled blending processes. Weigh, document, and stage batch ingredients using a computer-controlled weighing system. Operate and monitor clean-in-place (CIP) systems used to clean manufacturing equipment such as tanks and heat treatment systems. Perform production line activities, including standardization and final water processing using ingredients, flavors, oils, and other materials. Prepare, operate, monitor, and document bulk slurry processes for blending operations. Prepare, operate, monitor, and document computer-controlled heat treatment processes. Receive and transport bulk raw ingredients and CIP chemicals. Follow batch work orders and detailed job procedures. Maintain accurate production and manufacturing documentation. Maintain GMP compliance through routine cleaning of equipment and work areas. Perform or support preventative maintenance activities as required. Follow all safety, quality, and regulatory requirements. Perform other related duties as assigned. Physical Requirements Regularly lift and physically handle raw ingredients and manufacturing materials. Transport bulk ingredients and other materials throughout the manufacturing area. Work safely around manufacturing equipment and processing systems. Qualifications High school diploma or GED equivalent required. Some college or vocational training preferred. Previous food manufacturing or similar batch-processing experience preferred. Experience working in a GMP environment preferred. Experience with computer-controlled manufacturing systems preferred. Skills & Abilities Good written and verbal communication skills. Good computer and mechanical skills. Strong attention to detail and documentation skills. Ability to follow detailed work instructions and procedures. Ability to multitask in a dynamic manufacturing environment. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. Ability to maintain product quality and GMP compliance. Ability to work safely and effectively as part of a team.
