The Dip Operator will dip wax assemblies into slurry tanks to create molds using robotic systems and/or hand-dipping techniques. This position also involves material handling, lifting, equipment monitoring, slurry maintenance, and preparing wax assemblies for the next stages of production. Responsibilities Dip wax assemblies into dip tanks using robotic systems and/or hand-dipping techniques. Monitor and control computerized systems. Monitor conveyor lines and production flow. Clean and maintain slurry tanks and prepare new slurry as needed. Control and test slurry to maintain proper conditions. Maintain sand beds and rainfall sanders clean and properly filled. Prepare wax assemblies for face coat, including visual inspections. Plate assemblies so they can be properly hung on racks or conveyors. Etch and clean assemblies according to established procedures. Prepare molds for the de-wax process and de-plate molds as required. Follow all Shell Room policies, procedures, and techniques. Work effectively with team members. Maintain reliable attendance and punctuality. Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. 3-5 years of manufacturing or related experience preferred. Ability to read and understand English. Strong attention to detail. Ability to follow procedures and work safely around manufacturing equipment. Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic. Equipment & Tools Employees may work with: Dipping tanks Robotic dipping systems Conveyor systems Hand tools Air grinders Air chisels Wrenches Pliers Hammers Physical Requirements Lift, carry, push, and pull materials and wax molds. Handle wax molds and production materials. Perform repetitive hand, wrist, and arm movements. Bend, stoop, twist, squat, kneel, and reach as needed. Stand and walk for extended periods. Work around machinery, power tools, chemicals, dust, fumes, and noise. Work Environment The position is performed in a temperature- and humidity-controlled manufacturing environment. Employees will work around dip tanks, conveyor lines, sand beds, rainfall sanders, and robotic dipping systems. Slurry materials may contain chemicals and dust.
