Position Summary A Chemical Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of chemical production equipment. This position will monitor and control the various processes involved in the manufacturing of chemical products, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Set up, operate, and monitor multiple chemical processes in a timely matter. Performing analytical tests on raw materials and final products. Conduct routine tests to ensure products meet quality standards. Record and analyse data from these tests. Recording and monitor multiple parameters and be able to adjust variables based on the data. Charging raw materials to process, monitor process waste, and pack out final product. Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required. Work closely with other operators, supervisors, and technical staff to ensure smooth production operations. Identify and resolve equipment malfunctions and process deviations. Communicate issues to maintenance and management. Participate in training and development programs to stay updated on industry practices. Suggest improvements to enhance efficiency and safety. Troubleshooting issues with production equipment and processes. Maintain cleanliness throughout building, with an emphasis on production areas. Perform minor maintenance and complete other assigned projects as determined by management.
Education/Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent. Technical training or certification in chemical process operations is preferred. Prior experience in a chemical manufacturing environment or in a related field. Specific Knowledge, Skills, Licenses, Certifications, etc. : Mechanical and/or electrical knowledge preferred. Willingness to comply with safety and quality regulations, including wearing protective gear when necessary. Ability to follow instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities. Good communication skills and the ability to work in a team.

The salary range for the position of Chemical Operator is $20 - $23 per hour. Many factors go into determining employee pay within the range including prior experience, current skills, location/labor market, internal equity and other factors as permitted by law. This salary range is provided in good faith and is intended to display the value of the company's base pay compensation for all statewide locations across the United States. Salary is dependent on a multitude of factors, including but not limited to the physical worksite location, candidate's skill set, level of experience, education, and internal peer compensation comparisons.
