Position Summary The Production Operator is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining equipment used in the manufacturing of polyisocyanurate (ISO) insulation boards and TPO roofing membrane products. This role ensures safe, efficient, and high‑quality production while supporting continuous improvement and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Key Responsibilities Production & Equipment Operation Operate production line equipment, including mixers, lamination lines, extruders, winders, cutters, and packaging systems. Monitor machine parameters (temperature, pressure, chemical flow, line speed) to maintain product quality. Perform regular equipment checks and make basic adjustments to maintain optimal performance. Load raw materials such as polymer resins, blowing agents, facer materials, and additives. Assist with product changeovers and line startups/shutdowns. Quality Control Inspect ISO board and TPO product dimensions, weight, density, surface quality, and physical properties according to specifications. Record production and quality data accurately and in real time. Identify defects or abnormalities and take corrective action or escalate as needed. Perform pull tests, thickness checks, adhesion tests, and other routine quality checks. Safety & Compliance Follow all plant safety guidelines, lockout/tagout (LOTO), PPE requirements, and chemical‑handling procedures. Maintain awareness of hot surfaces, moving machinery, and chemical exposure risks. Participate in safety audits, incident reporting, and hazard identification. Comply with environmental and manufacturing standards such as OSHA, EPA, and ISO requirements. Maintenance & Troubleshooting Perform routine preventive maintenance such as cleaning, lubrication, and inspection. Assist maintenance technicians with repairs or component replacements when needed. Troubleshoot equipment issues, alarms, or process deviations to minimize downtime. Housekeeping & Teamwork Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of debris using 5S principles. Work with team members, leads, and supervisors to meet daily production goals. Participate in continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives. Qualifications Required High school diploma or GED Previous manufacturing, production, or industrial experience Ability to work in hot/cold environments and stand for long periods Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to operate industrial equipment Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and safely handle materials Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety Preferred Experience in roofing, insulation, plastics, or chemical processing industries Familiarity with ISO board lamination lines or TPO extrusion processes Forklift or material‑handling experience Knowledge of quality control procedures and measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, scales) Work Environment Fast‑paced manufacturing environment Exposure to heat, noise, chemicals, and moving equipment Rotating shifts or 12‑hour shifts may be required (days/nights/weekends) Core Competencies Safety‑minded Mechanical and problem‑solving skills Teamwork and communication Reliability and time management Quality‑focused mindset Positions Currently Hiring for: Supervisor
