    S_181266 Spherion Vermont is seeking a Coating Technician, who will have the opportunity to operate and monitor automated production machinery used to apply specialized protective, anti-fog, and scratch-resistant coatings to eyewear lenses.

Working in an active manufacturing facility, this role ensures proper equipment operation, maintains chemical baths, and performs quality inspections to maintain high product standards.

Responsibilities:
  • Monitor the coating line visually and via computer systems to maintain continuous, full-capacity production.
  • Perform routine fluid changes, chemical handling, and basic alarm troubleshooting on manufacturing equipment.
  • Inspect finished lenses and test chemical solutions, documenting defects and reporting line issues to supervisors.
Working hours:

6:00 PM

  • 6:30
AM Skills:
  • Prior military experience or background in an industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Basic computer proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word and Excel) for logging production data.
  • Solid communication and problem-solving skills to collaborate effectively with engineering and shift supervisors.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent GED, along with valid U.S. government work authorization.
  • Ability to stand for long periods and safely lift up to 50 lbs on occasion.
  • Strong visual acuity for close-up inspection, depth perception, and focus adjustment to spot defects.
