CNC Operator

Job Description

Operates CNC Swiss machining equipment to produce precision parts according to blueprints, specifications, quality requirements, and established machining procedures. Job Requirements High school diploma or GED required. 3-5 years of relevant machining experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience operating CNC Swiss machines. Working knowledge of trigonometry, geometry, and basic machining mathematics. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specification drawings, and written work instructions. Experience using micrometers, calipers, snap gauges, optical comparators, and other precision measuring instruments. Experience performing dimensional inspections of machined components. Preferred Skills Professional machining certification or additional technical education. Experience operating multiple CNC machines simultaneously. Experience adjusting tooling and work offsets. Experience using QMA, MAZ, and SPC databases or similar manufacturing quality systems. Experience performing preventive maintenance on CNC machining equipment. Job Responsibilities Operate assigned CNC Swiss machining centers and multiple machines simultaneously as required. Adjust tooling and work offsets to maintain required part specifications. Interpret blueprints and manufacturing documentation to produce parts within specified tolerances. Load raw materials and unload completed machined parts. Measure and inspect parts according to blueprints and applicable quality plans. Perform quality inspections on completed parts and other production parts as required. Use micrometers, digital calipers, snap gauges, optical comparators, and other measuring instruments to verify dimensional requirements. Make machining adjustments when measurements indicate parts are outside required specifications. Enter and maintain applicable production and quality information within QMA, MAZ, and SPC databases. Perform preventive maintenance on assigned machining equipment, including maintaining lubricant and coolant levels.
