CNC Machinist / Operator - Temp to Hire The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe operation and maintenance of a variety of machine tools, including CNC lathe, CNC Mill, Manual Mills and Lathes in a machine shop atmosphere. Washing, drying, counting, and bagging of parts required. Must be able to follow instructions, complete In-Process Inspection Worksheets, and proficiently operate machinery to produce parts according to required specifications. Performs general shop activities as directed.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Washing, drying, counting, and bagging of parts. Operates machines utilizing prints, process instructions and/or verbal instructions as required. Performs all shop functions in a safe and professional manner. Achieves cycle times and productivity according to the work order schedule and notifies the Lead of the job/run of any defects as soon as they are identified. Identifies out-of-tolerance conditions and reports them immediately. Where required, maintains authorized production documentation, logbook tracking, and other forms as assigned. Responsible for understanding a first piece inspection record at the start of each work order and reviewing the first piece approved prior to the start of production. Performs and tracks periodic/daily maintenance of machines as directed. Understands and adheres to ALL Safety, Quality, and Company Operating Procedures. Provides input for method improvements to enhance production efficiency and promote product quality. Perform all other duties as assigned or directed.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Minimum of 1 year machine operator experience and/or 1 year of Vocational Machine Shop training (preferred) High School Graduate or GED required Ability to stand for extended periods of time (walk, bend, squat, use hands to fingers, handle or feel, reach, lift, carry, push/pull up to 30 lbs) Regular use of magnifying assistance to view small parts and details of parts Ability to interpret prints and processes and follow all instructions Basic computer skills knowledge Solid mechanical aptitude combined with strong mathematics skills Strong communication skills, detail-oriented Self starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision
SCHEDULE
Employee may need to be flexible to work the required shift of either first or second and/or some combination between the two
Pay:
$25.00 per hour
