Job details Summary Spherion $19.38 - $20.98 per hour Temp to Perm 7:00 AM - 4:30 PM Industry manufacturing & production (Production Occupations) Reference number S_176260 Job details The CNC Operator is responsible for setting up, programming, and operating woodworking CNC machines (currently Biesse) to fabricate and modify plywood components with a high degree of accuracy. This role plays a critical part in maintaining product quality through precise machining and inspection processes.

Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts, and work orders to determine machining operations and optimal sequencing
Set up, program, operate, and maintain CNC woodworking machines to produce precision components
Measure, lay out, and verify dimensions and tolerances using precision tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, etc.)
Inspect machined parts to ensure adherence to quality standards and specifications
Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve machine faults; modify and debug CNC programs as needed
Calibrate and adjust machine programs to maintain accuracy and efficiency
Develop and implement corrective actions for any specification deviations
Perform routine machine maintenance, including cleaning, lubrication, and minor part replacement
Maintain accurate inspection records and complete quality reports
Manage and monitor plywood stock inventory levels
Collaborate with supervisors, leads, and team members to support production goals
Perform other related duties as assigned Working hours: 7:00 AM - 4:30
PM Skills:
Post-secondary or industry training in machining or CNC programming
Education:
High School Experience:
4-7 years
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to read and interpret production drawings, blueprints, and work instructions
3?5 years of experience operating CNC woodworking machinery in a furniture, cabinetry, or similar manufacturing environment
