Position:
CNC Machine Operator Location:
Nacogdoches, TX, United States This position is in the Nacogdoches Machine shop and reports to the Cell Supervisor. This position may be responsible for operating CNC, conventional machines or working at assembly stations. This includes setting up machines and assembly stations in a timely manner to bring product to print specifications. Associates selected for these positions will be required to work in manufacturing cells. Computer and production experience is important. A history of good attendance and a positive attitude are required. These positions also require good mathematical skills and the ability to work under pressure. Understanding of and experience with lean manufacturing principles a plus. This is a manufacturing environment with minimal climate control. A minimum of 40 hours / week is required. Responsibilities Daily housekeeping activities
Daily safety checks for unsafe acts and conditions
Work closely with supervision to fill their customer's needs
Set up and operate CNC and conventional machines
Identify and replace dull or broken tooling
Set up assembly stations
Assembly and test parts
Perform required quality checks
Promote lean manufacturing in all processes
Any other assigned duties as specified by supervisor Competencies Use of gages & measuring equipment
Must be able to read blueprints & design drawings
Must be able to read and understand setup sheets
Have good math skills
Be able to work with close tolerances
Demonstrated mechanical aptitude
Teamwork / Collaboration
Planning and Organizing
Individual Leadership / Self-motivated Requirements Must have hand tools (mics, calipers, scale, etc.)
GED or High School Diploma

Ability to bend, squat, & lift < 35 pounds frequently
Ability to climb stairs occasionally
