This is a hands-on, self-directed role combining CNC programming, CAD/CAM modeling, and precision machining in a fast-paced prototyping environment. You will take ownership of the full manufacturing process — from interpreting drawings through delivering finished parts that pass inspection. Responsibilities
Review aerospace drawings, engineering data, and physical sample parts
Measure and evaluate components for reverse engineering and prototyping
Create accurate 3D CAD models from 2D drawings or physical samples
Develop CNC programs using CAD/CAM software; generate toolpaths and post-process to produce G-Code
Manage CNC machine setup, including fixturing, work holding, and tooling selection
Upload, validate, and execute CNC programs to produce aerospace parts
Utilize Tormach PathPilot conversational programming where applicable
Operate and program the Tormach 8L CNC Lathe and Tormach
PCNC 440
Perform metal bending operations as needed
Produce parts in volume to meet inspection standards
Diagnose and resolve programming, tooling, workholding, or machine control issues
Take ownership of manufacturing processes in coordination with the Global Operations Manager
Communicate and deliver on accurate parts production deadlines Qualifications
CNC Certificate required, or 3+ years of relevant CNC programming and machining experience in lieu of certification
Demonstrated experience as a CNC Programmer/Machinist, preferably in aerospace or precision manufacturing
Proficiency with CAD/CAM software and G-Code programming
Strong understanding of CNC setup, fixturing, and workholding strategies
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings
Experience producing parts in volume that consistently pass inspection
Ability to work independently and determine appropriate methods to achieve deliverables
Strong communication skills, reliability, and willingness to take on tasks of all sizes Growth Opportunity This role reports to the Global Operations Manager with a potential path to a Director-level position as the team grows.
Pay:
$35.00 - $45.00 per hour
