This position is intended for someone with CNC machining experience, or at least a basic knowledge of CNC Machining, who can independently operate, set up, troubleshoot, and maintain quality standards while producing precision machined components. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, pays close attention to detail, and works with safety and efficiency in mind at all times. Primary Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC mills and/or lathes Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions Load materials and tooling as required Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections Make necessary tool wear and offset adjustments to maintain part quality Troubleshoot machining issues and identify opportunities to improve efficiency Ensure parts are produced accurately and meet all customer specifications Monitor machine performance and address issues proactively Maintain accurate production records and documentation as required Work independently to complete jobs while meeting production schedules Equipment & Tooling Set up and verify fixtures, vises, and tooling Replace worn or damaged tooling as needed Measure and verify critical dimensions using precision measuring equipment Maintain machine coolant levels and proper concentrations Perform routine machine maintenance and cleaning Report equipment concerns promptly to supervision Shop Cleaning & Maintenance Maintain a clean and organized work area, especially work benches Assist with shop housekeeping efforts as needed Empty chip bins and chip collectors Clean machines and work areas regularly Help maintain safe walking and working surfaces throughout the facility Clean saws and supporting production equipment as needed Organization & Inventory Keep tooling organized and properly stored Assist with raw material organization and inventory control Maintain organized workstations and setup carts Protect active jobs, setups, and tooling from unnecessary disruption Organize and label finished part inventory as required Focus on the job lists and work through the order by due dates Safety Expectations Safety is a top priority. Follow all shop safety procedures and instructions Wear required PPE, including: Safety glasses Hearing protection Steel or composite toe, slip-resistant boots (employee provided) Use good judgment and common sense at all times Stop work and notify supervision when something appears unsafe, abnormal, or unclear Safely operate machines, lifting equipment, and shop tools Help maintain a safe work environment for yourself and others What We're Looking For Dependable and punctual Someone who takes initiative Strong work ethic CNC machining experience preferred Programming experience preferred (Gibbs CAM) Ability to perform machine setups and make offset adjustments Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring instruments Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality, if you're not proud of it, we don't ship it Able to follow instructions and work independently when needed Comfortable with physical work, including standing, lifting, and moving materials Able to safely lift up to 50 pounds Strong organizational and problem-solving skills Positive attitude and willingness to be part of a team Benefits Open Up After 90 Days of Employment If you feel like this is a good fit, once you hit 90 days you will be eligible for: Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance
