CNC Programmer Job Description Job Overview We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating and optimizing CNC programs for various machining operations, ensuring precision and efficiency in production. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical concepts, CAD/CAM software, and the ability to interpret schematics and technical drawings. Duties Develop and modify CNC programs using CAD/CAM programming software. Interpret engineering drawings and schematics to create accurate machining instructions. Operate CNC milling machines and coordinate measuring machines to ensure product quality. Utilize tools such as calipers and gauges to measure and verify dimensions of machined parts. Implement lean manufacturing principles to enhance production efficiency. Collaborate with engineering teams to troubleshoot issues related to machining processes. Maintain documentation of programming changes, setups, and tooling requirements. Perform test runs and adjust machine settings to ensure accuracy and quality. Monitor machine operations to ensure adherence to specifications. Requirements Proficiency in CAD and CAM programming software. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand complex geometry. Experience with CNC milling machines and tooling setup. Understanding of lean manufacturing principles is preferred. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects as needed. Work Hours and Benefits:
Monday-Friday, 7am-3:30pm. Pay starting at $26-35 an hour, based on experience. Health, dental, and vision insurance. Paid time off and holidays.
