Role:
Develop production processes and CNC programs for manufactured products, support New Product Introduction (NPI), process development, and continuous improvement. Leverage advanced machining technologies, cutting strategies, and Lean principles to optimize quality, productivity, and cost. On-site role in Devens, MA; salaried, full-time.
Key Responsibilities:
Use solid models and detailed prints from Creo or Mastercam to develop work holding and tooling
Write CNC programs using the latest version of Mastercam and prove out programs for production readiness
Support OQ/PQ activities, process validation, and NPI execution as required
Develop detailed work instructions and maintain configuration management for electronic files and programs
Support operations with troubleshooting, problem-solving, and technical guidance
Complete assignments and development projects with minimal supervision and contribute as a team member
Follow VulcanForms QMS and OSHA safety policies; promote 7S and Lean philosophies
Qualifications:
5+ years CNC programming experience in precision manufacturing
Strong working knowledge of 3D modeling and CAM programming using Mastercam
Expert knowledge of CNC machining including 3-axis and 5-axis milling, single
and dual-spindle turning, and EDM
Proven ability to read engineering drawings, interpret GD&T and composite tolerances, and support dimensional inspection
Thorough understanding of fixture and workholding design (SMED principles)
Strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting skills, and attention to detail
Independent decision-making with a continuous improvement mindset
Preferred:
Experience supporting additive manufacturing production environments
Experience programming complex aerospace, medical, defense, or high-precision components
Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement experience
Familiarity with ERP or MES systems and NPI/process validation activities
Compensation:
Annual base salary range: \$87,000 to \$120,400
Actual compensation based on skills, qualifications, and experience.
