Job description R.C. Smith Company is a well-established commercial cabinet/casework company actively seeking a qualified Woodworking Project Engineer to join our team. The Woodworking Project Engineer will focus on CNC programming, production planning, material takeoffs, and production documents. Responsibilities and Duties In this role, your programming skills will combine with efforts from the Director of Operations, Engineering Team, Project Management/ Design Staff, and other team members to build casework and millwork products in a timely, organized, and high-quality manner. Previous experience with casework/millwork/woodwork engineering is required.

Specific duties include:

Responsible for working with Project Managers to review project for production buildability Prepare material takeoffs, project machining programs and cut lists Responsible for review and handing off all programs and cut lists to plant personnel Attend Hand Off meetings with Project Managers for new projects Position requires commercial millwork and cabinet drafting skills. Responsibilities will include managing multiple projects and meeting fast-paced deadlines The position requires strong communication skills and the ability to multitask. Qualifications and Skills Minimum experience of 2-3 years in Casework/Fixture manufacturing experience Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in AutoCAD or similar design program. Cut Rite experience is beneficial Experience in millwork and commercial/residential cabinet construction is preferred. Excel experience is beneficial Strong communication skills and a team attitude. Well organized, detailed and collaborative working traits are important. R. C. Smith Company R.C.
