Job Description:
As a CNC Programmer Machinist, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining computer numerical control (CNC) machines to produce high-quality precision parts. Sets-up mills and lathes by installing and adjusting three- and four-jaw chucks, tools, attachments, collets, bushings, cams, gears, stops, and stock pushers; indicating vices; tramming heads
Qualifications:
3-5 years (required) experience of CNC programming (using software such as Surfcam & Mastercam), Setup, and Operation with the ability to interpret engineering illustrations, blueprint components, work with CNC equipment including
HAAS VF8, VF3, VF-3YT, VM-3, CNC
& Conventional Lathes and Fourth Axis machines, and possess job shop environment experience.

CNC programming machinist knowledge & experience Maintain a clean and organized work area Utmost attention to safety Reliable, good attendance and punctuality Concern for quality Attention to detail Responsibilities Candidate will be working with CAD, CAM and software programs utilizing intermediate to advanced knowledge while training towards full working knowledge Position will be responsible for machining mechanical parts, pieces or products to customer drawings and specifications using a variety of tools and high-tech milling and drilling equipment Plans machining by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, orthographic drawings, reference planes, locations of surfaces, and machining parameters; interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T) Daily activities will include programming one off parts, small to medium run, in either Surfcam or Mastercam. Setting up your HAAS milling and lathe machines Operate calipers, inspection gauges, micrometers, and other quality control instrumentation Maintain CNC mill and other machines using preventative maintenance methods Continually evaluate machine, cutting tool, and software technologies to improve knowledge and cycle times Maintain inventory of manufacturing product and machine tools Maintains specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting, including turning, facing, knurling and thread chasing operations; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming controls; sharpening and replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes Create specific machine set-ups and fixturing to meet geometric requirements Perform quality work checks to ensure the product meets quality standards Work with quality control department to Identify product defects and complete appropriate documentation when defects are identified Rework and/or repair machined parts and products according to engineering specification changes and revisions Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures Prioritize work flow through effective communication with management staff
