Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior CNC Programmer to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this pivotal role, you will lead the development, optimization, and implementation of CNC machining programs for complex 3-axis and 5-axis components using advanced CAD/CAM software. Your expertise will ensure precision, efficiency, and high-quality standards across various machining processes, including 5-axis CNC milling machines and CNC lathes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence manufacturing excellence through innovative programming, meticulous measurement, and continuous improvement initiatives. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and possess a passion for precision engineering, this role is perfect for you! Responsibilities Develop and optimize CNC programs for multi-axis machining centers, including 5-axis CNC machines and CNC lathes, utilizing CAD/CAM software such as SolidWorks, CATIA, or similar tools. Interpret mechanical blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings with a strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) to ensure accurate manufacturing processes. Set up machining tools and fixtures on CNC equipment, ensuring proper tooling selection based on project specifications and material requirements. Conduct precise measurement and quality control using bore gauges, calipers, micrometers, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), and other measurement instruments to verify part dimensions against specifications. Collaborate with engineering teams to review schematics and technical drawings, providing feedback on manufacturability and tooling options. Implement lean manufacturing principles to streamline machining processes, reduce waste, and improve cycle times without compromising quality. Maintain detailed documentation of programs, setups, tooling configurations, and measurement data to support continuous improvement efforts. Qualifications Proven experience programming CNC machines such as Fanuc controllers with a deep understanding of G-code and M-code programming language. Proficiency in CAD software like Mastercam,SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or CATIA for designing parts and creating CAM programs. Strong knowledge of CNC tooling selection, setup procedures, and machining parameters for metalworking applications. Expertise in interpreting mechanical blueprints and schematics with an emphasis on geometric tolerances (GD&T). Familiarity with electrical discharge machining (EDM) processes is a plus. Experience operating coordinate measuring machines (CMM) for precision inspection purposes. Mechanical knowledge combined with the ability to interpret mechanical blueprints accurately. Understanding of lean manufacturing concepts to enhance efficiency in machining operations. Excellent math skills essential for precise measurement calculations and program adjustments. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment committed to quality excellence. Join us in shaping the future of manufacturing through innovative CNC programming! We are dedicated to fostering a vibrant workplace where your skills can flourish while contributing to high-quality production standards worldwide.
