Candidates selected for roles will be employed as contract workers through a Boeing approved 3rd party for the duration of the specified project. The selected candidate for this role will need to have good relationship building and excellent communication skills. This individual will join a BT&E Aero Noise & Propulsion team that provides numerical control, machining and programming technical experience related to all airplane models and additive manufactured parts. This Mid-Level Numerical Control Programmer will plan, create, verify and revise Machine Control Data (MCD), geometry and documentation that directs the operations for a complete spectrum of numerically controlled equipment required to manufacture and inspect parts, tools and assemblies. Other duties include planning and guiding the development and integration of new machining techniques and manufacturing methods, processes, software and equipment. Also, establishes technical requirements for manufacturing and producibility.
Position Responsibilities:
Plans, creates, verifies and revises Machine Control Data (MCD), geometry and documentation that directs the operations for a complete spectrum of numerically controlled equipment required to manufacture and inspect parts, tools and assemblies for departmental work. Ability to read and interpret technical blueprints, strong attention to details and complete understanding of every aspect of the part. Establishes technical requirements to determine producibility and manufacturing process. Provides numerical control, machining and programming technical experience. Collaborate with Design Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering as necessary to ensure a quality NC program prior to part fabrication. Plans and guides the development and integration of new machining techniques and manufacturing methods, processes, software and equipment Ability to work independently and under minimal direction. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): 2+ years of experience in Numerical Control (NC) programming Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience Experience in CAD/CAM software (preferred CATIA, Vericut simulation, MasterCAM) Pay Rate Range 54 - 59 USD hourly
