This position is responsible for applying a variety of military, aerospace, industrial, and protective coatings while following customer specifications, technical data, and established quality procedures. The ideal candidate will have professional paint experience and take pride in producing consistent, high-quality finishes. Experience in automotive/body painting is also highly valued and will be considered , as many of the skills used in automotive painting transfer well to aerospace and industrial coating applications. Responsibilities Apply
MIL-SPEC
paints and primers , aerospace coatings, CARC coatings, and industrial coatings. Properly mix paints, primers, catalysts, reducers, and other coating materials according to manufacturer instructions and applicable specifications. Read and follow military specifications, technical data sheets (TDS), customer requirements, and work instructions . Read blueprints and drawings to determine masking requirements, coating locations, finishes, and other processing requirements. Properly prepare surfaces prior to coating, including cleaning, masking, sanding/scuffing, and other required preparation. Apply coatings using appropriate spray equipment and techniques while maintaining required film thickness, appearance, gloss, and other quality requirements. Accurately identify and follow required cure times, recoat windows, mixing ratios, and application requirements. Maintain proper documentation and production records as required. Inspect finished work for quality and compliance with customer requirements. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Follow all company safety requirements and applicable environmental regulations. Work in accordance with an AS9100-certified quality management system , including all applicable procedures and documentation requirements. Perform other duties related to the painting and finishing operation as needed.
Qualifications Required:
Previous professional painting experience. Ability to properly mix and apply coatings according to specified requirements. Ability to read and follow detailed written instructions and coating specifications. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to work the scheduled shift and overtime/weekends when required.
Preferred:
Aerospace painting experience. Experience with
MIL-SPEC
coatings and primers . Experience with CARC coatings . Experience with industrial coatings. Experience reading military specifications and Technical Data Sheets (TDS). Blueprint/drawing reading experience. Experience with masking complex parts and assemblies. Experience working in an
AS9100, ISO
9001, or other controlled manufacturing environment . Automotive/body painting experience. We are willing to train the right candidate on aerospace-specific processes and specifications. Candidates with strong automotive/body painting experience are encouraged to apply. Work Schedule 1st
Shift:
7:00 AM - 3:30 PM Monday - Friday Overtime and weekend work may be required based on production needs.
