POWDER COAT PAINTER - 2ND SHIFT

$23.00-$27.00 per hour, depending on experience 2nd

Shift Premium:

5% METALfx is looking for an experienced Powder Coat Painter to join our Operations team on 2nd Shift . We are looking for someone who takes pride in producing a high-quality finished product, understands industrial powder-coating processes, and can work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This is a hands-on position for an experienced powder coater who can independently perform surface preparation, masking, powder application, quality inspection, and equipment operation.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Operate electrostatic powder-coating spray guns and related equipment. Prepare parts for coating, including cleaning, surface preparation, masking, and plugging. Apply powder coating according to work instructions, specifications, and required finish. Read and follow blueprints, work orders, and technical documentation. Use a tape measure and calipers and work comfortably with fractions and decimals. Inspect parts before and after coating to identify defects and ensure quality standards are met. Operate the wash system and cure/dry oven. Operate and monitor powder-coating equipment and controls. Complete required work-order sign-offs and inspections. Clean, maintain, and properly store tools and powder-coating equipment. Perform routine preventive maintenance on powder-coating equipment. Properly handle and dispose of paints, powders, and other hazardous materials. Maintain a clean, organized work area. Follow all company safety procedures and wear required PPE. Participate in METALfx's safety and quality programs. Communicate clearly and work effectively with coworkers and supervisors.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

3+ years of powder-coating experience preferred. Experience with industrial powder coating and electrostatic spray equipment. Ability to read and follow blueprints and technical documentation. Comfortable using measuring tools such as tape measures and calipers. Ability to work on your feet for extended periods. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Reliable, dependable, and willing to work as part of a team. Ability to work safely around moving machinery, industrial equipment, and manufacturing processes. High school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred. Additional training or certifications related to powder coating, industrial painting, corrosion, or similar fields are a plus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position is performed in a manufacturing environment and involves frequent exposure to moving mechanical equipment, automatic machinery, and moderate to high noise levels. Employees are required to follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment.

SCHEDULE
