Job Description Engineered Plastic Components (EPC), a world-class manufacturer of plastic products, is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Paint Technician to join our team. This position is responsible for maintaining paint systems and equipment, ensuring paint mixtures meet specifications, troubleshooting equipment issues, and supporting production operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate has experience with paint application systems, strong mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork. Responsibilities Prepare, mix, and verify paint materials to ensure specifications are met. Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair paint equipment and application systems. Rebuild paint guns and related equipment as needed. Set up and maintain off-line paint systems, including hot pots. Respond promptly to equipment failures and implement corrective actions. Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Job Safety Analysis (JSA) requirements. Ensure proper handling, containment, and storage of chemicals used in coating applications. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment. Communicate equipment, process, and quality concerns to Cell Leaders and supervisors. Work collaboratively with team members to support production goals. Adapt to changing priorities and production demands. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Required High School Diploma or GED. Ability to train on 1st Shift (6:00 AM - 2:15 PM) and move to 3rd Shift (10:00 PM - 6:15 AM) upon completion of training. Ability to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform frequent pushing, pulling, kneeling, reaching overhead, and grasping. Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety. Preferred 1-2 years of paint technician, industrial painting, or paint maintenance experience. Knowledge of paint mixtures, spray guns, and paint application systems. Experience troubleshooting and maintaining paint equipment. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. Work Environment Manufacturing environment with exposure to heat, cold, noise, fumes, vapors, and sharp edges. Fast-paced setting with moving equipment and production activity. Safety-focused environment requiring adherence to company policies and procedures. Schedule Training Schedule:
1st Shift, Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:15
PM Regular Schedule:
3rd Shift, Sunday-Thursday, 10:00 PM - 6:15
AM Pay:
From $18.00 per hour
