, a global leader in manufacturing, is hiring an Industrial Production Painter to support finishing operations at our Decatur, IL facility. In this role, you will apply high-quality coatings to large equipment components using industrial spray systems such as HVLP and compliant equipment. This position is ideal for people with industrial painting experience who take pride in craftsmanship, safety, and quality. You'll work in a fast-paced production environment, operate lifting equipment, and contribute to delivering durable, high-performance components used in Caterpillar's heavy machinery. Key Responsibilities Apply industrial coatings using HVLP and compliant spray systems Paint large components and assemblies to Caterpillar quality standards Operate overhead cranes, lifts, and hoists to position materials Mix, measure, and maintain paint systems and supply inventory Inspect surfaces and finishes to ensure consistency and quality Clean, test, and maintain spray equipment for optimal performance Perform basic production tracking and computer data entry Follow all safety protocols and PPE requirements Maintain a clean, organized workspace using 5S principles Required Qualifications Previous industrial or production painting experience Mechanical aptitude or experience working with industrial equipment Ability to work at heights up to 20 feet using ladders and lifts Familiarity with hand tools and pneumatic tools Basic computer skills (data entry, tracking work) Strong communication, teamwork, and safety mindset Ability to work overnight shift schedules Preferred Qualifications Experience in a manufacturing or production environment Overhead crane or hoist operation experience Forklift certification Ability to read and interpret 2D/3D drawings or prints Knowledge of 5S or lean manufacturing principles Experience working in high-volume industrial settings
