Aircraft Component Painter

We are seeking an Aircraft Component Painter to prepare, prime, paint, and finish aircraft parts and assemblies to customer, quality, and safety standards. This position will support our FAA Part 145 accessory-rated repair station. The ideal candidate has hands-on painting experience in aerospace, aviation, automotive, or industrial manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities:
Read and follow work orders, drawings, specifications, process sheets, and customer requirements
Prepare aircraft component surfaces through cleaning, sanding, masking, minor repair, and priming
Mix, match, and apply primers, paints, sealants, and protective coatings using approved tools and procedures
Inspect finished components for color accuracy, coverage, adhesion, and visible defects
Complete required production, inspection, material usage, and traceability documentation
Maintain paint booth, tools, and equipment in clean, safe working condition
Follow safety procedures for PPE, ventilation, chemical handling, storage, labeling, and disposal
Qualifications:
Previous aircraft component, aerospace, automotive, or industrial painting experience preferred
Knowledge of surface preparation, masking, paint mixing, spray application, sanding, buffing, polishing, and finishing techniques
Ability to read work instructions, drawings, specifications, and basic measurement requirements
Familiarity with primers, polyurethane paints, epoxy coatings, sealants, corrosion-resistant finishes, spray guns, and paint booth equipment preferred
Strong attention to detail, documentation accuracy, safety awareness, and quality standards
Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment and communicate effectively with production, quality, and maintenance teams
Physical Requirements /
Work Environment:
Ability to stand, bend, reach, lift, move materials, and perform repetitive hand and arm movements as required
Work is performed in a paint shop, booth, or production environment with exposure to fumes, solvents, dust, noise, and moving equipment; required PPE must be worn
