Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Bodywork Prep Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing vehicle surfaces for painting, ensuring high-quality finishes that meet customer specifications. This role involves inspecting, sanding, masking, blending, polishing, and touch-up work to achieve a flawless appearance. The Bodywork Prep Painter plays a vital role in the vehicle restoration process by ensuring surfaces are properly prepared for painting and finishing. Responsibilities Inspect areas to be painted to identify body repair needs, surface defects, and prep requirements. Sand, mask, blend, polish, and touch up finishes according to specifications. Follow customer-specific instructions for color selection and application processes. Ensure proper safety procedures are followed, including wearing a respirator; pass a confidential medical questionnaire and respiratory fit test as required. Work efficiently to meet project deadlines and accommodate overtime as business needs require. Experience Preferably possess at least one year of experience in bodywork preparation or related fields. Familiarity with surface inspection, sanding techniques, masking procedures, and finishing touches is advantageous. Ability to work safely with respiratory protection equipment and adhere to safety standards is essential. Qualifications Prefer 1 year of experience in truck, tank/vessel, or heavy equipment preparation and painting required Must be able to wear all required personal protective equipment, including respirator Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential; employees are expected to report to work on time and maintain consistent attendance in support of team operations and production schedules Must be able to pass criminal background check and pre-employment drug screening, including marijuana

Pay:

$20.00 - $22.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
