In this role, you will be responsible for preparing surfaces through sandblasting and applying high-quality coatings using various painting techniques. Your expertise will ensure that products meet strict quality standards and are finished to precise specifications. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where safety, craftsmanship, and efficiency are prioritized. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical skills, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to maintaining safety protocols at all times. Duties Operate sandblasting equipment to clean and prepare surfaces for painting, ensuring adherence to surface preparation standards. Apply coatings using conventional spray guns, airless paint sprayers, or powder coating methods to achieve smooth, durable finishes. Interpret production documents, blueprints, and technical specifications to accurately execute coating and finishing tasks. Use precision measuring instruments and visual color comparison techniques to ensure color accuracy and coating thickness. Handle materials safely within the warehouse environment, including proper materials handling and storage of paints, abrasives, and other supplies. Maintain personal protective equipment (PPE), including respirators and respiratory protection gear, following strict safety protocols during all operations. Perform routine maintenance on spray guns, sandblasters, and other tools to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance. Requirements Proven experience with industrial painting processes such as auto painting, construction painting surface preparation, or powder coating. Familiarity with safety protocol adherence including PPE use, respirator operation, and respiratory protection standards. Ability to interpret production documents and technical instructions accurately. Mechanical knowledge related to machining, assembly processes, and the use of hand tools for surface preparation or finishing tasks. Experience operating forklifts or other warehouse equipment is preferred but not mandatory. Basic math skills for measuring coatings thickness or calculating material quantities. Knowledge of quality standards in production environments to ensure finished products meet specifications.
