In this role, you will be responsible for applying high-quality coatings and finishes to various products, ensuring they meet strict quality standards and specifications. Your expertise in surface preparation, coating techniques, and finishing processes will contribute to delivering durable, visually appealing products that meet customer expectations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced painting technologies and contribute to the production of top-tier finished goods. #Austin #RedCapStaffing Duties Prepare surfaces thoroughly through sanding, cleaning, and surface treatment to ensure optimal coating adhesion. Operate spray guns, including airless paint sprayers, conventional spray equipment, and powder coating systems to apply coatings evenly and efficiently. Interpret production documents such as work orders, technical drawings, and quality standards to accurately execute finishing tasks. Use precision measuring instruments and hand tools to assess surface quality and ensure proper coating thickness and finish consistency. Handle materials safely using proper PPE—including respirators, gloves, and protective clothing—adhering strictly to safety protocols. Perform touch-ups and finishing work to achieve smooth, uniform surfaces with accurate color matching through visual color comparison techniques. Maintain a clean work environment by properly handling materials, cleaning equipment, and following safety procedures during all operations. Requirements Ability to pass a background check Reliable Transportation Proven experience in industrial painting, coating application (including powder coating), or construction painting surface preparation. Ability to interpret production documents accurately and follow detailed instructions precisely. Skilled in the use of power tools, hand tools, coating spray guns, and conventional spraying equipment. Familiarity with safety protocols involving PPE use, respirator maintenance, respiratory protection devices, and handling hazardous materials. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to coating thicknesses and material quantities. Knowledge of quality standards in production environments to ensure finished products meet specifications.
