Updated 08/28/2026 Job Description Job Summary Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Aircraft Painter II to join our team. The successful candidate will have 2 years of experience in related paint processes, with aircraft industry experience preferred. This role involves safely preparing, painting, and detailing aircraft according to schedule, using company quality standards and operating procedures. Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Aircraft Preparation and Painting:
Safely perform aircraft preparation, painting, and detailing of aircraft under minimal supervision. Coordinate with supervision and Inspection to ensure compliance with internal and FAA paperwork, sign-offs, and quality specifications.
Equipment and Tool Usage:
Follow standard operating procedures when using tools and equipment such as dual action sanders, hydraulic lift platforms, and paint sprayers. Properly care for and maintain shop equipment and tools.
Chemical Handling:
Follow standard operating procedures when using sealants, paint strippers, and corrosion-preventive chemicals, and use protective equipment as required.
Safety and Compliance:
Comply with safety rules and procedures and be alert for unsafe conditions. Address unsafe conditions before putting people or property at risk.
Material Tracking:
Use the material tracking system to create parts demand, track squawks, and sign-off work.
Aircraft Movement:
Assist with aircraft movement in hangars.
Continuous Improvement:
Offer continuous improvement ideas and participate in continuous improvement activities.
Other Duties:
Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements High School Diploma or GED required 2 years of experience in related paint processes Aircraft industry experience preferred Valid Drivers License required Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language Ability to use tools and equipment associated with the aircraft painting process Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering documentation Ability to pass Pulmonary Function Test to obtain respirator certification Ability to climb ladders and stairs, work in small restricted areas, lift up to 40 pounds, and work any shift Computer literacy required Working knowledge of paint processes and products (lacquers, enamels, epoxies, urethanes, and acrylics) necessary Uniform Policy
Uniform Requirements:
Purchase uniforms from designated supplier (CINTAS).
Interim Attire:
Wear navy-blue shirt/t-shirt and blue work pants/shorts (no denim) prior to receiving uniforms.
Suggested Items:
3 T-Shirts 3 Flat front pants 2 Face masks (in case the mask mandate returns)

Steel-toed shoes required for job duties.
