We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Sandblaster to join our production team in San Angelo, Texas. Position Summary The Sandblaster is responsible for preparing tanks, vessels, and fabricated metal components for painting and finishing through abrasive blasting techniques. This position plays a critical role in ensuring high-quality surface preparation and product durability. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Operate sandblasting and abrasive blasting equipment safely and efficiently. Prepare tanks, pressure vessels, and fabricated metal components for coating and painting. Remove rust, scale, paint, and other surface contaminants from metal surfaces. Inspect surfaces to verify proper preparation and quality standards. Maintain blasting equipment and work area in clean, safe working condition. Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including proper use of PPE. Read and interpret work orders and production instructions. Assist with material handling, loading, and movement of parts as needed. Work collaboratively with welders, painters, and fabrication personnel to meet production schedules. Qualifications Previous sandblasting, industrial painting, or manufacturing experience preferred. Ability to operate blasting equipment and related tools safely. Knowledge of surface preparation techniques is a plus. Ability to work in a physically demanding environment. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Dependable attendance and positive work ethic.
