Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Industrial Painter to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for applying high-quality coatings and finishes to various industrial components and surfaces, ensuring compliance with safety standards and quality requirements. Duties Prepare surfaces through cleaning, sanding, and surface treatment to ensure optimal coating adhesion. Operate spray guns, including airless paint sprayers and conventional spray equipment, to apply coatings efficiently. Mix paints, primers, powders, and other materials according to specified formulas and production documentation. Use hand tools, power tools, and machining equipment for surface preparation and finishing tasks. Adhere strictly to safety protocols by wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including respirators and respiratory protection devices. Handle materials safely using forklifts and proper materials handling techniques to maintain a safe work environment. Inspect finished work for quality standards using visual color comparison tools and precision measuring instruments. Maintain cleanliness of work areas and equipment to ensure consistent quality in production finishing. Interpret production documents accurately to follow specifications for construction painting surfaces or industrial coating projects. Support auto body repair processes when applicable by applying coatings or performing surface preparation. Follow manufacturing procedures for powder coating, coating application, and construction painting surface preparation. Skills Proficiency in operating coating and painting spray guns, including airless paint spraying systems. Mechanical knowledge related to machining, surface preparation, and equipment maintenance. Familiarity with quality standards in production environments to ensure consistent output. Ability to interpret technical drawings, production documents, and specifications accurately. Strong understanding of safety protocols related to the use of PPE, respirators, and respiratory protection devices. Basic math skills for mixing materials and measuring components precisely. Experience with conventional spraying techniques for industrial painting applications. Knowledge of powder coating processes and finishing techniques in manufacturing settings. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments for surface preparation and inspection. Ability to handle construction painting surfaces with attention to detail and adherence to safety standards. Experience with auto body repair processes involving coating applications is a plus. Good communication skills for collaborating with team members on production tasks.
