Strong hands-on I&C commissioning and startup experience. Gas turbine or power generation commissioning experience required. Experience with instrumentation, loop checks, calibration, controls, and troubleshooting. GE LM6000 or similar aeroderivative gas turbine experience strongly preferred.
Job Summary :
We are seeking an experienced I&C Lead to support the commissioning recovery and startup of two
GE LM6000
simple-cycle gas turbine units. This is a hands-on field position responsible for leading instrumentation and controls commissioning activities, troubleshooting outstanding system issues, and supporting the units through startup, testing, and reliable commercial operation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Lead and perform I&C commissioning, testing, calibration, and troubleshooting activities. Perform and verify loop checks, functional testing, instrument calibration, and system checkout. Troubleshoot instrumentation, control valves, transmitters, switches, actuators, and associated field devices. Support troubleshooting of turbine controls, fuel systems, startup sequencing, alarms, trips, and permissives. Coordinate closely with the MicroNet Controls Engineer, operators, electrical/mechanical personnel, OEMs, and vendors. Review P&IDs, loop drawings, wiring diagrams, control narratives, test records, and commissioning documentation. Track deficiencies and punch-list items through testing, corrective action, and final closeout.
Job Requirements :
Strong hands-on instrumentation and controls commissioning background. Experience troubleshooting gas turbine or industrial power generation systems. Proficiency with instrument calibration, loop testing, control valves, and field instrumentation. Working knowledge of DCS/PLC-based control systems and turbine control interfaces. Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, loop diagrams, schematics, and technical documentation. Ability to lead field personnel while remaining actively involved in troubleshooting and testing. Experience :
Technical degree, instrumentation/electrical training, or equivalent field experience. 7+ years of I&C, controls, startup, or commissioning experience preferred. Previous LM6000, LM2500, TM2500, or comparable aeroderivative turbine experience strongly preferred.
