Job Description The Parts Sales & Controls Technician is responsible for supporting parts and equipment sales, maintaining customer relationships, managing inventory, and assisting with commercial refrigeration controls, startup, and troubleshooting. This is a hands-on position combining customer service, technical sales, organization, and controls experience. Responsibilities Prepare quotes for replacement parts, equipment, and controls Research and identify replacement parts, components, equipment, and controls Respond to customer parts requests and follow up on open quotations Proactively contact existing and past customers to check in, identify parts or equipment needs, and develop additional sales opportunities Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, vendors, manufacturers, and field personnel Order parts and materials and coordinate with vendors and manufacturers Track open orders, backorders, shipments, and outstanding customer needs Maintain accurate inventory records and established reorder points Receive, organize, pack, and ship parts and project materials Perform periodic cycle counts and assist with inventory counts Maintain accurate records in Procore, Fishbowl and other company systems Assist customers and field personnel with phone and remote troubleshooting Assist with controls programming and configuration Help identify components needed to resolve equipment and controls issues Assist with controls and equipment proof-out prior to startup Assist field personnel with refrigeration equipment and controls startups Participate in on-site controls installation, integration, startup, commissioning, and troubleshooting Coordinate technical issues with manufacturers, vendors, technicians, and project managers Develop a strong working knowledge of our commercial refrigeration equipment and control systems Travel Travel will be required periodically to assist with controls installation and integration, project startups, commissioning, and troubleshooting. When qualifying out-of-town travel is required, overtime is paid, per diem is provided, and company-approved travel expenses are covered. Preferred Qualifications Experience in parts sales, technical sales, HVAC/R, refrigeration, electrical, controls, equipment, or a related field Strong customer service and communication skills Comfortable proactively contacting customers and following up on quotes Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Excellent follow-through and ability to manage multiple open items Mechanical and electrical aptitude with a willingness to learn Comfortable troubleshooting equipment and technical problems Good computer skills, including Outlook and Excel Experience with commercial refrigeration, HVAC, controls, electrical systems, or construction is a plus Willingness to travel for project startups and technical support Benefits $25-$28 per hour, depending on experience.
