This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is mechanically inclined, willing to learn, and interested in developing a long-term career in the natural gas compressor service industry. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work and wants the opportunity to learn new skills and grow with our company. Job Duties & Responsibilities The Valve Technician will primarily work on natural gas compressor valves and packing glands .

Responsibilities include:

Disassembling and tearing down compressor valves and packing glands Cleaning, inspecting, and preparing components for repair Blasting valves, packing glands, and related components Machining valve seats and packing cups as needed Measuring components and accurately documenting micrometer readings Inspecting parts for wear, damage, and proper dimensions Reassembling components following repair Maintaining a clean and organized work area Assisting with other shop work, repairs, and projects as needed Qualifications Candidates should: Be able to accurately read calipers and micrometers Have good mechanical aptitude and attention to detail Be dependable and able to follow instructions Be self-motivated and willing to learn Take pride in producing quality work Be willing to learn additional skills and take on new responsibilities Work well independently and as part of a team Previous compressor valve experience is not required. We are willing to train the right person who has the basic mechanical skills, work ethic, and desire to learn.
