Through the end of the year, with potential for extension Position Overview We are seeking an Electrical & Controls Technician for a temporary contract position supporting our Electrical Control Engineering Manager on a project through the end of the year, with potential for extension. This role will focus on troubleshooting, testing, commissioning, and modifying industrial electrical and control systems. The ideal candidate has a solid electrical and controls background and is comfortable working with PLCs, I/O, wiring diagrams, and industrial equipment. Expert PLC programming experience is not required. Key Responsibilities Troubleshoot electrical and controls issues with industrial equipment. Work with PLCs, digital and analog I/O, control panels, sensors, relays, switches, and other electrical components. Troubleshoot PLC I/O, wiring, sensors, and field devices. Read and interpret basic electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control drawings. Trace wiring and perform basic electrical testing using a multimeter. Assist with installation, modification, and wiring of electrical and control components. Support equipment startup, testing, commissioning, and modifications. Perform preventative maintenance and inspections. Document repairs, modifications, and troubleshooting activities. Follow all company safety and electrical safety requirements. Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, production, and other technical personnel. Qualifications Working knowledge of industrial electrical and control systems. Ability to troubleshoot electrical circuits and control systems. Familiarity with PLCs, I/O, sensors, relays, and field devices. Ability to read wiring diagrams and electrical schematics. Experience using a multimeter or similar test equipment. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to work comfortably alongside engineers and other technical personnel.
