About the Role As an Instrumentation and Controls Technician, you will serve as a critical technical resource responsible for maintaining the reliability and efficiency of our industrial systems. You will utilize your expertise in PLC logic, electrical circuitry, and precision instrumentation to optimize plant performance and ensure seamless operational continuity. Responsibilities Prioritize a culture of safety by strictly adhering to all industrial protocols and regulatory standards during every maintenance task. Diagnose and resolve complex malfunctions within control systems and instrumentation to minimize downtime. Execute precise calibration and preventative maintenance schedules to ensure equipment accuracy and longevity. Install and commission new control systems, including power wiring, cabling, and motor control centers. Maintain comprehensive documentation and logs to support compliance and operational transparency. Perform general electrical maintenance, including the service and replacement of motors and lighting systems. Qualifications Required Skills High school diploma or equivalent certification. Proven ability to troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical issues. Strong understanding of electrical maintenance and control circuitry. Capacity to adapt to varying operational schedules as business needs dictate. Preferred Skills 3-5+ years of hands-on experience in heavy industrial environments such as refineries, chemical plants, or steel mills. Formal technical training or a degree in instrumentation or electrical systems. Demonstrated proficiency with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) and industrial automation software.
