If precise measurements, tight tolerances, and smooth-running plants are your thing, this role in Ogden, UT might be a great fit. You'll be our onsite expert—reporting directly to the Senior Technical Services Manager—keeping chemical process controls, heat-treatment furnaces, and electronic instrumentation running at their best. Why this job matters Keep production stable and safe by installing, troubleshooting, and repairing key measurement and control systems. Ensure compliance by calibrating to NIST standards and maintaining thorough, audit-ready records. What you'll do Follow verbal and written directions from your supervisor to prioritize daily tasks. Install, diagnose, and repair electronic instrumentation: thermoelectric elements, pressure and flow devices, gas chromatographs, and pH instruments. Calibrate temperature and pressure elements to National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) requirements; generate and file physical calibration documentation. Maintain preventive maintenance schedules and test records; manage a complete library of calibration manuals. Rebuild/install valves, valve positioners, and other flow control components. Work with Engineering and Quality on material qualifications and testing; take part in customer audits. Use electronic/pneumatic test equipment and small hand tools with devices including valves, pH/conductivity probes, flow analyzers, pressure instruments, regulators, recorders, controllers, and thermal elements. Coordinate your area's work with the central maintenance shop. Handle wire, pneumatic tubing, fittings, valves, controllers, sensors, and process systems that involve acids and chemicals; work with PLCs. What you need to bring High School Diploma or GED. 5+ years in instrumentation and controls, with 3+ years in a similar industrial setting. Relevant trade/technical schooling in industrial instrumentation maintenance may offset part of the experience requirement. Hands-on PLC wiring skills plus strong maintenance and repair abilities. Location and schedule 100% onsite in Ogden, UT; reports to the Senior Technical Services Manager. Bonus $5,000 sign-on bonus for well-qualified candidates.
