CUSTOM PICTURE FRAMER / KEYHOLDER

Beau Esprit Custom Framing is seeking a creative, dependable, and detail-oriented team member to join our custom framing studio. This position is designed for someone who wants to learn a skilled trade and grow with a small business. No custom framing experience is required. The right candidate can begin as a Custom Picture Framing Apprentice and receive hands-on training in framing production, design consultation, customer service, and studio operations. Candidates with applicable experience in custom framing, retail leadership, art or design, woodworking, customer service, or keyholder responsibilities may be considered to start at the Keyholder level. Responsibilities Learn and perform custom picture framing, including measuring, mat cutting, glass cutting, frame assembly, mounting, and finishing Assist customers with frame, mat, color, and glazing selections Handle artwork, photographs, memorabilia, and customer property with care Provide knowledgeable, friendly, and professional customer service Maintain a clean, organized, and safe retail and production environment Assist with customer orders, inventory, materials, and daily studio operations Maintain high standards for accuracy, craftsmanship, and quality control Growth Into Keyholder As training and proficiency are demonstrated, the Apprentice will have the opportunity to advance into a Keyholder position with additional responsibilities, including: Independently opening and closing the studio Managing store security and alarm procedures Handling cash, deposits, and end-of-day reconciliation Managing customer needs and resolving routine issues independently Helping coordinate daily workflow and customer orders Supporting training and day-to-day studio operations Candidates with previous keyholder, retail leadership, or supervisory experience may qualify to begin in a Keyholder role, even without prior custom framing experience. We will provide training in framing techniques, design consultation, and our studio processes. Pay will be adjusted for keyholder responsibilities based on experience. Ideal Candidate Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship Creative with an interest in art, design, color, décor, or craftsmanship Excellent customer service and communication skills Reliable, punctual, responsible, and trustworthy Comfortable learning hands-on skills and using tools and measuring equipment Able to work independently as responsibilities increase Basic math and accurate measuring skills Able to stand for extended periods and safely lift and move framing materials Previous experience in custom framing, retail, customer service, interior design, art, woodworking, crafting, production, or a keyholder role is helpful but not required. Beau Esprit Custom Framing offers the opportunity to learn a specialized trade while developing skills in design, customer service, retail operations, and small business management. Pay:

$15.00 - $18.00 per hour
