This pivotal role involves leading a team of skilled operators to ensure precision cutting, shaping, and finishing of specialty materials. The Cutting Lead will be responsible for maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency while interpreting technical drawings and managing complex machinery. Duties Lead daily cutting operations, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and production schedules Operate and troubleshoot advanced machinery including Gerber and multi- laser cutting machines. Interpret technical drawings, CAD files, and specifications to set up machines accurately for each project. Train team members on machine operation, safety procedures, measurement techniques, and proper use of hand tools and precision measuring instruments Be an effect Requirements Proven experience in machine operation within manufacturing or highly detailed. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and other automated systems Familiarity with measurement (quality control), and dimensional inspection techniques using micrometers, calipers, and measurement gauges. Knowledge of safety standards in production environments including proper handling of multiple fabric and consistent quality. Ability to interpret technical drawings accurately and translate specifications into precise machining actions. Basic math skills for calculations related to measurements, tolerances, and process adjustments. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team while maintaining high safety and quality standards. Hands-on experience with hand tools, fabrication equipment, and precision measuring instruments in a manufacturing setting. Have strong people skills for training and coaching.
