Panel shop located in Lakewood, CO. Industrial Control manufacturers custom automation control equipment for a variety of industries. We are looking for a Electro-mechanical Technician to assemble and fabricate control panels of varying size and complexity. A qualified candidate will have electrical wiring knowledge and an ability to use electrical hand tools. Extensive product training will be provided. Engineering Students encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities will include:
Assembly, wiring, mounting of electrical components based on provided electrical schematics and technical diagrams. Ability to read both electrical schematics and drawings Ability to identify electrical panel components from Bill of materials and schematics Layout panel designs based on drawings Fabricate electrical control panels according to drawings Wire panels to UL508A specifications and in accordance with drawings Prepare panels for testing and for shipping Efficient hand tool skills, drilling and tapping of metal, using correct fixings, measuring, stripping, crimping and cutting Work in safe manner in compliance with OSHA, manufacturer's instructions and company policy Understand Safety rules and regulations in a shop environment
Requirements:
Experience - Minimum 1 year experience of wiring and mechanical. Ability to lift 50+ lbs Experience with the following is preferred: panel fabrication and build, component layout, electrical enclosures, electrical assemblies, control and wiring. Strong mechanical aptitude Ability to wire and build industrial control panels based on schematics. Must be able to communicate effectively with co-workers and others. Works with all staff to ensure compliance with safety and environmental policies Must be detail oriented and strive for quality workmanship. Eager to learn new technology, techniques and optimize both products and procedures. Must pass criminal background check.
Education, Experience and Qualifications:
High school graduate or equivalent. At least one year of prior panel building experience is desired. Electrical experience is desired but we are willing to train the right person. This is a Non-Licensed Electrician position. Must have a positive attitude, be a self-starter, and an able problem solver.
