Job Overview-Part time work (part time or full time): We are seeking a skilled Electrical & Metal Assembler with Machine Shop experience to join our manufacturing team. This role involves assembling electrical components and metal parts with precision, interpreting technical drawings, and utilizing various tools and machinery to ensure high-quality production. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude, experience with blueprint reading, and familiarity with machine shop operations. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to complex fabrication projects in a dynamic industrial environment, supporting our commitment to excellence and safety. Duties Work with 20 gauge metal materials Assemble electrical and metal components according to detailed schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings. Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify dimensions and tolerances. Operate power tools, pneumatic tools, welding equipment, soldering irons, and specialized industrial tools safely and effectively. Interpret mechanical blueprints and schematics to guide assembly processes accurately. Operate pneumatic tools including but not limited to rivet guns Conduct manual handling of materials and components while adhering to safety protocols and PPE requirements. Forklift is a plus. Maintain a clean and organized work area within the machine shop or warehouse environment. Assist in the calibration and maintenance of machinery used in assembly processes. Follow all safety procedures related to mechanical assembly, welding, soldering, and the use of industrial equipment. Forklift experience is a plus Collaborate with team members across manufacturing and warehouse functions to meet production deadlines. Skills Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings related to electrical and metal assemblies. Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in fabrication, machining, welding, soldering, and assembly. Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, pneumatic tools, specialized industrial tools, and precision measuring instruments. Experience with forklift operation and warehouse procedures is advantageous. Ability to interpret technical specifications accurately for manufacturing processes. Knowledge of PPE use and safety standards within industrial settings. Familiarity with manual handling techniques for heavy or awkward materials. Capable of working efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Basic understanding of electrical components alongside metalworking skills enhances versatility in assembly tasks.
